4.
A Number for the Future

Room 1

At first, it will be so much fun
Opening a door that says cheese,
You will smile as they examine your teeth
And say,
You’re ready
Ready,
For this life
For this site,
To decide
Me?
You

Room 2

In an anxious flu,
Scrolling down the street
You will see a screen:
“Looking for the excavator
Use the one made of paper.”
8 faces, 8 lives,
Will last longer than
Any of those metallic parts,
See?

Room 3

What will be happening to me:
I actually have an excavator made of paper,
All I need is to fold the expectation
And it should work like a charm.
How charming is the chance
Of knowing everything before?

Room 4

You’ll be leaving the ground floor.

Room 5

You’ll arrive
To see this sight,
When you don’t see anything in fact.
Is this all a bunch of tricks?

Room 6

What could have been a quick fix
Will melt.
One night, you leave the excavator made of paper on the balcony,
Not knowing the forecast was 100% chance of humidity.
The surface is covered in drops.
You should have seen it coming.
What a waste, what a taste:
The drops are sour, like lemon.

Room 7

And to reckon,
You will have no intention of letting this excavator melt
It will not be in your forecast,
Not in your projection.

If your plan is wrong
And lemony,
Sour,
It’s because of a time in room two
When, while walking
You will be moved
By a screen bait.

Room 8

It will be too late.
8 lives for what,
When made of paper?
I guess the good part is that,
Despite you having that lemon to bite,
It’s all sweet and tight.
